Mikaela Rioux she/her/ella
Donor Engagement Manager
Mikaela Rioux is the Donor Engagement Manager for NCLR where she is responsible for individual donor outreach, stewardship, and community engagement. She is a longtime fundraiser in the San Francisco LGBTQ and social justice landscape, with nearly 15 years of experience in development, operations, event production, and grant writing.
After living abroad in Argentina as a high school student, Mikaela moved to Montreal, Quebec where she graduated from McGill University with a double major in Theatre and Women’s Studies. During her time in Canada, Mikaela was active with Queer McGill, the University’s student-led LGBTQ social club, organizing events, fundraisers, and educational opportunities for queer students on campus. She is a dynamic communicator in both English and Spanish (although, sadly, her French is terrible), and hopes to one day become a true polyglot. In her spare time, you’ll find Mikaela at the intersection of queer media, art, and culture.
