Karen is a tax attorney who is also an advocate and strategist for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Working in the corporate sector, she seeks to improve the professional and personal experiences of all employees. Until October 2020, Karen brought her tax law expertise to the role of Managing Director at Accenture. She was responsible for Global Tax Policy, and North American geographic tax matters for over 20 years; she was also a sponsor of the Pride employee resource group.

Karen earned her Juris Doctor at the University of California Berkeley School of Law. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Brigham Young University, and a diploma at Cairo American College.

Karen and her wife have two adult children and live in Berkeley, CA.
